Eleven public companies — Chime, Dave, Green Dot, Upbound, Gen Digital among them — have disclosed EWA regulatory exposure in filed 10-K/10-Qs. They have compliance departments. If you don't, you are tracking 50 legislatures by hand or not at all.
A bill that is moving is not yet an obligation — which is exactly why it is worth knowing about. Deciding whether you'd need a licence is far cheaper while the bill is in committee than the month the registration window opens.
Each item links to the legislature's own bill page — arkleg.state.ar.us, le.utah.gov, docs.legis.wisconsin.gov and the rest — with bill number, session, latest action and date. All 171 tracked bills currently resolve to a legislature page. Where a state does not publish one, we link a bill-tracking aggregator and label it as one rather than calling it primary.

The legislative record is re-pulled daily. When a bill you're tracked against moves, the next brief reflects it.
Some bills mention earned wage access deep in the text while their titles are about something else entirely. We show you those in a separate section, marked, rather than either asserting they regulate you or quietly dropping them.
What this is not. EWA Watch is a tracked record of legislation. It is not legal advice and not a compliance determination. It does not interpret statutes, does not complete or file licence applications, and does not certify that you are or are not compliant. It will not even give you an effective date for an enacted bill — that lives in the enrolled text, and we tell you to read it there rather than guessing on your behalf.
